SLS Baha Mar, Where the Frosé Flows and Flamingos Strike a Yoga Pose

Weekend Edits

Feb 18, 2025

This Caribbean retreat provides the ideal backdrop to swim, sun, sip, savor, and repeat.

Frosé, flamingo yoga, floating lounges, and five-star everything: SLS Baha Mar in Nassau, Bahamas delivers.

This Caribbean escape provides the ideal backdrop to sink into a water hammock with a Goombay Smash and channel your inner sun god or goddess all day long. The turquoise waters and serene stretch of white sand on Cable Beach is lined with plush, luxury cabanas and vintage airstream eateries so you can swim, sun, sip, savor, and repeat.

The best thing about SLS is you don’t need to leave the expansive resort property to get your fill of beach time, pool parties, spa amenities, fine dining, and vibrant nightlife.

Flamingo Yoga Awaits

Your fitness and wellness won’t skip a beat when vacationing at SLS. From nine top-tier tennis courts and six pickleball courts to a pristine 18-hole, par-72 golf course and abundance of watersports, you can choose to be as active as you’d please. Or, maybe a warm tiger clamshell massage is more your speed. Whatever the case, there’s something for everyone to enjoy—including flamingo yoga with the Baha Mar Ambassador Flamingos.

One of the main highlights of our stay was kicking back with a piña colada and fresh, tropical fruit salad at Baha Bay Beach Club. When it was time for a refreshing dip, the infinity pool overlooking the coastline awaited.

Espresso Martinis at Cleo Are a Must

Calling all foodies! The culinary experiences and restaurant lineup at Baha Mar is unmatched.

An absolute must is putting on an apron and taking a traditional Bahamian cooking class. We had the privilege of preparing a scrumptious fish stew and homemade bread with the talented Chef Tevin Kemp. (He even broke out his impressive singing skills as we cooked!)

For lunch, you can’t go wrong exploring the vintage airstreams along the beach for poké and refreshments. Or, take a brisk stroll over to Tingum On The Sand for a scrumptious beachfront meal. (Think grilled jerk shrimp prepared with habanero mango and corn ribs with Ranch dressing.)

When dinner time rolls around, there are 45 top-notch restaurants, bars, and lounges to choose from. We were obsessed with the spanakopita and espresso martinis at Cleo Mediterráneo, along with the bone marrow croquette and wagyu flight at Carna. End the evening with some craft cocktails at Monkey Bar or head up to the 20th floor of SLS to Skybar for incredible views.
